Aegon local derby this weekend!
29th May 2009
Those of you who know anything about local tennis will know that Park Langley vs Bromley LTC is a big match: especially when it’s the Country’s biggest club competition the AEGON National Club League Premier Division...
BLTC have started with three straight wins, while Park Langley has yet to win this season, so the stakes are high. Bromley will be favourites having not lost a divisional match for over two years, and are 2nd in the division. With a top of the table clash looming in two weeks at Globe, any loss will hurt their chances of finishing top.
Some big names will feature for Bromley as they can draw on some of their professional names within the squad. Local players Matt Illingworth, Nick Cavaday. Sean Thornley, coupled with Jamie Delgado and James Auckland, who are all playing on the tour full time.
Bromley were beaten finalists in 2008, and have qualified for the grand finals every year since 2004, winning the title in 2005, they are in with a real chance of capturing the title again this season.
Bromley then host Connaught at their Sandford Road home on Sunday 7th June 09, all matches start at midday, spectators are always made more than welcome.
